RESEARCH OVERVIEW

Our team particularly focused on the development of functional nanoparticles for the delivery of nucleic acids and biotechnological drugs. Our main areas of interest are the use of microfluidic systems, DNA vaccines and immunotherapy approaches in cancer treatment. We also serve the production of various enzymes and proteins.

gene delivery

Non-viral gene delivery systems, lipid nanoparticles, and microfluidic droplet generation

vaccines

DNA and mRNA vaccines against infectious diseases and cancer vaccines

immunotherapeutics

Immunotherapeutics, T-cell therapy approaches and immune checkpoint gene knock-out via CRISPR tech

Hakbaba laboratory is a young and dynamic team. Our main goal is to service the non-viral gene delivery systems and gene therapy approaches to the humanity. We aim to develop an interdisciplinary approach in attempts to turn fundamental scientific discoveries into gene and biotech products. To this end, we welcome young scientists like us who have embraced Atatürk’s principles and revolutions, and diverse international talents as well. We are enthusiastic about new ideas, projects and collaborations.
